Military Forces Honor Guard
Do you have what it takes to be part of the Honor Guard?
Each month, more than 280 deceased Veterans receive Honors. This is our way of saying "thank you" for their service to our nation. Our teams perform the departed Soldier's final Honors by playing "Taps," folding and presenting the flag to the next of kin. When possible, we also perform firing party duties and casket carrying. If YOU have what it takes and want the privilege, you too may be able to be a member of the Honor Guard.
Soldiers considering volunteering to be part of the Honor Guard should take great pride in themselves, their appearance, and their service to their country. These Soldiers should not only understand the importance of what rendering Honors is, but also the constant pursuit of perfection it requires.
Additionally, these Soldiers will need to be in good standings with their Unit of Assignment and have a serviceable Army Service Uniform. If interested, call Pennsylvania Military Funeral Honors at 717-861-8694 or email: ng.pa.paarng.list.jfhq-g1-funeral-Honors.firstname.lastname@example.org.
Beyond having the satisfaction of Honoring those who came before us and the gratitude of family members -- you'll have the opportunity to earn be compensated through pay and retirement points. (Retirees -- National Guard or Active Duty -- are also eligible to be team members.)
